What does the Service Provider Edition add to ICTFax?

The Service Provider Edition is the commercial, multi-tenant version of ICTFax. On top of sending and receiving faxes, contacts, DNC, fax documents and DIDs, it adds Bulk Fax campaigns, Contact Groups, My CIDs, CDR and Statistics Reports, cover pages and fax settings, routes, tenants, CID number management, branding, announcements, a password policy, System Activities and MFA login. The free Community Edition serves a single organisation and has none of these.

How do tenants work?

There are three roles. The admin runs the whole platform. A tenant manages its own users. A user sends and receives faxes. Admins create tenants under Administration > Tenants, and each tenant then looks after its own users. The tenant guide walks through it.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes. The public demo runs at demo.ictfax.com. The logins are listed on the ICTFax demo page, so you can click through the portal before you commit.

How do I send a fax to a lot of numbers at once?

Put the numbers in a Contact Group, then create a campaign under Bulk Fax. You choose the document and the group, set the retries and calls per minute, and start it. For one-off faxes, use Single Fax instead. The user guide covers both.

How does email to fax work?

Email your document to the fax number at your fax domain, for example 15550199001@fax.example.com, from the email address on your ICTFax account. ICTFax checks the sender, converts the attachment (PDF, TIFF, PNG, JPEG and Office files) and sends the fax. You get an email when it’s accepted, sent or failed. Can incoming faxes go to email?

Yes. Under My DIDs, forward a number to Fax to Email and enter the address. Add more recipients one email address per line. Each incoming fax on that number is emailed as an attachment.

Can I use a fax machine or an ATA?

Yes. Create an extension, enter its username and password as the SIP login on the ATA and point it at your ICTFax server on port 5060. Forward a DID to that extension to ring the fax machine. The ATA and fax machine guide has device settings for Grandstream, Cisco and Obihai.

Is there an API?

Yes. ICTFax has a REST API that takes and returns JSON. You log in with POST /api/authenticate to get a token, upload a document, create a transmission and send it. There are no webhooks, so your app polls the transmission to learn the result. The ICTCore API guide on GitHub (ictinnovations/ictcore, docs/ApiGuide.md) is the full reference.

Can I add a cover page to my faxes?

Yes. Cover pages are set up under Configuration > Cover Page, next to Fax Settings.

What reports are there?

The Reports menu has CDR Reports, a record of each fax job, and Statistics Reports. Admins also get System Activities under Administration.

Can I put my own brand on the portal?

Yes. Administration > Branding lets you put your own branding on the portal.
